I'm going to dive into installing some footwell LEDs in my 2015 Corolla S. My install is going to be a bit different from what I've seen others do in that I want install a on/off switch in one of the switch blanks located to the left of the steering wheel (LHD) where the mirror controls/instrument panel light dimmer is and I want the lights to be on with the dome as well as controlled by the on/off switch that acts as an override. I'm guessing that the wiring will require a 3 way switch similar to a dome light where there is an on/off/door toggle to get this to work just right. I'll dream up/post some wiring diagrams that I think might work..
