It's basically brand new. I used it for a week, maybe two.

Is it a pretty noticeable difference in handling or does it not really work because of the hinges?

Still works the same, might be less rigid with a pivot point.
It will still transfer the load from side to side. Scientifically I couldn't tell ya!

The MIT bar comes with the “Corolla” badge already in place.

Sold a while ago. I think I bought it off eBay, you can probably still find them.
