I have a corolla from 2009.
I have changed the original audio system with an aftermarket one that has gps/navigation/dvd player and so on.
For 3 weeks it was working great but suddenly the front speakers started to have a strange noise an after some time they stopped working (silent).
Only the back speakers are still working fine.
I have changed back the navigation system with the original audio one and the same problem persist, meaning that the audio system is not damaged.
I don't understand what can be be the cause.
I even changed one of the speakers with a new one and same thing happens.
Does corolla have an extra, separated amplifier besides the one that is in the head unit ? Can that one be damaged ? Why ?
