Can You Repair a Broken Armrest Lid

#1
On a 2001 Corolla LE the center console arm rest lid is broke on one side so it is
floppy. I am having some trouble finding this part at local junk yards and even
on Ebay. I did find one at a junk yard but it was 2002 model and to my surprise
it was a bit shorter than the one in my 2001 model. Perhaps Toyota made more
than one size for the center console or slight variation. I thought about fixing
the broken one but one of the black plastic braces is missing and the small round hole the brace clips into is also broke. Anyways, if anyone has either tried to
repair or found a decent site that sells these lids, would appreciate any info.

The above website is an Internet based database of thousands of automotive junkyards across the United States. You will not find the exact part listed that you are looking for, as there is no way to list all parts available on a car. What you have to do is search for a 2001 Corolla and let's say a hood, or door, etc., (these parts will be listed as they are a major component). This way you will find a bunch of 2001 Corolla's listed that also of course have a console lid. Then you make a telephone call to the listed junkyards and see what they have and what the price is.

Also check with a Toyota dealers Parts Department. The part may still be available.

I hope this helps you out. :)
