Has anyone heard of or used chrome brake rotors?
I found a YouTube video about them and now I am intrigued being that I was about to buy new rotors and paint them.

No, not the shiny chrome. Lol
It’s some kind of coating and they’re calling it chrome.
I think I will just paint mine for now, until I see some real world usage.

The coating will be worn when you break in the newly painted rotors. What will be left are the coating/paint on the area that isn't in contact with the brake pads.
Those coatings are only useful for rust prevention and nothing else.

There’s no specific picture of our rotors but there are pictures on the site.
They come in multiple colors. Red, blue, black, gold, etc.

I know the ones your talking about, that coating isn’t very durable. You can scratch it off with your fingernail. This is something else that I happen to run across. I posted a link, I might be the Guinea pig here. Might.
