Is it true that once you remove the whole dashboard the steering wheel will fall off?

I never heard of such a thing and it doesn't seem likely, otherwise dashboard repairs would be impossible.

I have NEVER heard of any vehicle where that will happen. Every vehicle I've worked on (a lot) from corollas to 18 wheelers have their steering wheels pressed on and must be removed with a steering wheel puller.
