Engine won't start after a stall

When my Altis 1.6G manual stalls, I find it difficult to restart the car. The key turns and nothing happens. Is there a way to overcome this?

My 2015 Altis E (manual) also suffers from the same defect. Full pressing the clutch (and even brakes) with the transmission in neutral, doesn't help. I guess this is a software bug that forces a mandatory rest period of about 5 seconds before re-starting. What if it happens in a dire emergency situation? This bug could kill. Toyota should issue a recall for this defect.

That's not a defect. That happens with almost all makes.

Most definitely if not all of the engine is computer controlled. This seems normal to me. It needs a few seconds to recalibrate everything.
