Gas Mileage 2011 Corolla CE

#1
Alright, I'm renting a toyota corolla 2011 for almost 8 months now.

It was my first new car and I was not very familiar with how much a car should normaly do on an highway or city etc.

I noticed that I'm doing 8.6l/100km average since I have the car and i'm using my char 50/50 highway city.

Normaly a 2011 corolla CE should do arround 6.4 highway and little bit over 7 for city.

Am I the only one with that big of a difference? Should I mention it to the dealership ?

Thank you for your help!

Just to translate all that into understandable numbers (for me at least) you're getting 27.4 mpg. That's pretty low.

For your information my 2010 corolla has used almost 3,000 litres of gas to drive just over 36,000 kilometres. It is a 5 speed manual and I tend to drive with the traffic (not a lot of overtaking or holding up traffic). We have snow and cold December to March. These numbers are equivalent to about 35 mpg (imperial gal.) or 8 litres/100 kilometres.
