Hit and Run Front Bumper 2008 Toyota Corolla

#1
Hello everyone! This is my first post here. My question is what type of damage could occur if someone hit a 2008 Toyota Corolla while parked (the driver that hit it was backing out at about 10 mph according to the eye witness). The bumper has some scrapes but my question is when it was hit that hard parked wouldn't it cause damage to other components like the gears when in park? Thanks

clips, bumper clip holes, bumper itself, there's a metal bar in the front that can bend, mostly if you didnt see any damages, you might as well bring it to a body shop or toyota collision centre to open it up. get your insurance estimate first.

worst, it may hit your radiator/condenser, under engine plastic cover, may loose fasteners or screws, fluid hoses for coolant and oil cooler lines that may cause leak/s, alignment, tech will verify if something is bent.

10 mph nah just cosmetic...defn no gear damage. I know most automatic cars have a failsafe for that sort of thing or if you jam it into rev on the freeway by accient well you hit N but same principle when in park. and 10mph cars body are designed to absorb impact like a tin can when u crush it. :)
