Dear members,
In my recently acquired Corolla E11 (2000) hatchback, the seats seem to be a bit high. The seat-tilt lowers the seat a bit, but not enough.
Visual inspection shows that the seats are mounted on a spacer (see pictures), and that the spacer is welded onto the mounting bracket (on the inside, out of voew in the pictures).
I suspect that the seatmountingbracket is retrofitted, is that correct?
Is it correct that in order to lower the seat, I should mount an original seatbracket, rather than grinding of / cutting the weld and removing the spacer.
Kind regards,
Arjan
