Ignition Problem

On two occasions, when I turned the ignition key to start, nothing happened, no lights - nothing - like there was no battery. Then after a few seconds, with the key in the on position, everything came on (warning lights, radio, fan) and I was able to start the car? No problems with the next several starts, then the same thing occurred.

Any idea what this could be?

Thanks

This is a 2003 Toyota Corolla with about 106000 miles

Welcome to the Corolla Forum! :thumbup1::clap::thumbup::):balloon:

Via the Internet and unable to diagnose the car, all we can do is guess, so a guess would be to check the battery terminal connections to make sure they are clean and tight. The problem could also be a faulty ignition switch.
