Knock Sensor Help

#1
Did a JDM motor swap and the stock wiring harness is a dual wire to a dual pin on the knock sensor and the JDM motor (naturally) is a single wire to a single pin. Is there an adapter for this? Any other fixes? I need to get this resolved to pass DEQ soon.

Thanks!

You need to see what the wires do. Typically one is signal and the other is ground. If that is the case, pin the ground to a fresh spot of metal that won't get hot and attach the signal wire.

If it is signal and power... You'll attach the signal and cap off the power.

Now, personally, I would recommend getting the PCM and swapping the harness. It is possible the two knock sensors operate different logically and will cause false readings.

Donabed-
Both the wires are signal wires. Found out the hard way, (cutting, etc.). I wound up taking the 2 sensors apart, and attaching the top part of the sensor that attaches to the harness to the bottom of the JDM sensor and put it back in. No more knock sensor code!
