Question

#1
Hello,
I just purchased a used 2006 Toyota Corolla S. It runs fantastic, no problems. It's has 194,000 miles. The previous owner told me it needed a new serpentine belt, which I did. The engine is still noisy and sounds rattly, and sounds like it's coming from the belt area. If anyone has any experience with this, it would be very useful.
Thank you.

Might be worth looking into if the timing chain and/or tensioner has been replaced. The engine is inherently a little noisy. There's usually quite a debate over what in particular but it is either the valves or the injectors, but it's more of a tick than a rattle.
