My ipod shuffle will not play on my 2012 Corolla S radio. After reading the manual, it mentions compatibility with many IPODS, but does not say shuffle. Even so, why would it not play as a USB mass anyway? any way to get this to play. It just says "error" when I plug it into the USB. should I be using a aux plug-in instead? Thanks for any advice.

I have a Corolla 2012 S and I use my iPod plugged into the USB port. Everything works fine. Simply push the Media button on the radio until the iPod menu pops up. It doesn't have the Shuffle command but it does have other menus you can pick from.
