soooo boring....

no wonder why people crash all the time...
there are so many distractions inside a car and driving is so boring. (i've been riding motorcycles all my life) this is my first car, so the one thing i noticed right out of the bag is acceleration. i know, i know, i shouldn't expect the same acceleration i have on my bike vs the car (im well aware why). so i've been doing a little research about it and this is what i've found on ebay so far:
electric turbo kinda thing.
cold air intake (injen,k&n, other brands)
exhaust upgrade (trd)
im not very sure about the electric turbo thing , but i kinda like the cold air intake and the trd exhaust upgrade. theres also a trd sway bar and lowering springs. (I really hate the space between the tires and the car, it's so big [thats what she said])
what do you guys think? im just looking for a little more acceleration when pulling out (gigitty)

If you want better acceleration then you need to change your tires first as the stock ones arent very gripy. Then there is intake and exhaust.you can do. and if you want to do more you can buy forged internals for the 2ZR-FE Engine and tune it and you'll be getting like 30-50 horse power. And if you want even more you can turbo or supercharge it. Hope that helps you out!

Which also reminds how sad I am that Toyota doesn't make anything to compete with WRXs, GTIs, etc. The GT86 is amazing but too small for most people. Come on Toyota make a real performance Corolla, Celica, Supra, anything!

No more Scion soon though! Hopefully the sporty looks for recent Toyota and Lexus products is a good sign. And the new Supra should be built eventually. I just wish there was a Corolla XRS to go up against cars like the Civic Si, and Honda is bringing the Civic TypeR here!

thanks for the input, i went to the turbo kits website but they are not for the 2016 corolla, i think im going to start with the cold air and exhaust.

I would also suggest a different car because a Corolla S will never be a fast car, unless you modify it heavily. At which point you might as well have bought a WRX STI, Golf R, or Focus RS. I love the Corolla but it's never going to be fast.
yeah i wish my credit would let me get a beautiful wrx sti

I did have a bugeye WRX (2001) from new and kept it for 8 years. They are a blast, the STI even more so! I would be happy with a true performance Corolla XRS. The XSE will be really nice but a turbocharged XRS would be awesome! I'm dreaming I know. Haha

if i get a turbo/charger, would my warranty be void? or what if a get the turbo kit and take it to the dealer to get it installed?
As a bike guy myself, I feel your pain. Don't try to make a car fast. It's expensive and all it does is ruin your fuel economy. Think of it this way - driving a slow car makes a bike feel that much faster.

or if you're really hell-bent on making a corolla quick, nitrous is the absolute cheapest way to add meaningful power. Taht will almost definitely void your warranty, but it's so m uch simpler than a turbo or a supercharger... A dry kit will be cheap. A wet kit is the better decision.

the best part is that you will still get 40 mpg when you put it on cruise and don't hit the button.

the new civic has a turbo and it gets 35+ mpg, turbo wont ruin fuel economy if you stay in eco mode

35 mpg is the EPA figure, so you'll get that with the AC off and cruising on flat ground at 55mph... Plus I wouldn't be surprised if they want you to use 92 octane or better with that turbo. 35 mpg isn't that great when you're paying $.20 more per gallon.
