spark plug replacement

#1
hi everyone. is it necessary to replace spark plugs before 100,000 miles? she idles rough at red lights sometimes (it's been a mild winter) which i know is a bit normal for a corolla but i am wondering how long the plugs are supposed to last or i should save up and just have it done sooner than 100k. 2015 s, a little over 86 k

On a 15 Corolla it is a very simple and cheap thing to do yourself. I changed mine on my 14 at around 60k . I would go ahead and change them to see if it made any difference in that idle issue. If no change then maybe something else needs attention.

For the rough idle condition, try cleaning your MAF sensor and throttle body bore/butterfly first. Unless your plugs are fouled, they typically go the distance.
