I have 2011 Corolla S, over 200k miles on it. For some reason I started to use my other car for commute and it sat in sun for 5 weeks. Now I see the AC isn't engaging. After an initial investigation I discovered that if increase the RPM for a moment the Radiator Fan starts kicks in the AC starts to work. The AC stays on till the car's interior cools down and then stops and never re-engages. I have a feeling is either come sensor is bad and the car computer thinks it it cold enough to start the AC. I was able to repeat this time again, question is have you ever noticed this on your AC? Also, is there a remedy before going to a Dealer?
