Trans check engine light issues

#1
Hi we have a Corolla Matrix 2008. Throwing the P0471 trans code.

Car is shifting / running fine. Has 177K currently. We changed the transfluid and filter. Cleared code. Three days later the code is back.

Not sure how much money we want to spend on this. I suppose we should have gone ahead and done the solenoid while the pan was off but oh well too late for that. How detailed or expensive is the replacement of the solenoid to clear this CEL code? Assuming it's shifting fine and has a clean filter and new fluid, how long could the car last before the trans is completely burned up? Or will the solenoid burn up and the trans go into limp mode until or unless the solenoid is replaced? Not super knowledgeable about these cars but it has been reliable until now. Thanks for any feedback.

What type transmission fluid? This car is very picky, when it comes to the tranny fluid?

The Transmission Control Solenoid kit is going cost you roughly around $500 – up. Don’t waste money on getting 1 or 2 solenoids. Just get a OEM Genuine Toyota Parts Transmission Control Solenoid kit and do it right.
