Sounds like the door lock solenoid is toast. For those years, I believe you have one screw hidden beneath a panel where your door handle is. Remove that screw, then pop up the power window and door lock panel, unplug it, and remove everything out of the way. After that, everything should lift...

I have a 2014 S. Mine takes about 3 or 4 minutes to cool. Seems normal, because once it is going it cranks out cool air.

I know the 1.8 manages to get the job done. I wouldn't use the 1.4 if it has any less than 100 hp or 100 ft.-lb. torque, or hill climbing is going to suck.

I've coasted with the engine off a few times and never came close to dying. If I run out of vacuum for the brakes, I restart the engine. Now, I wouldn't recommend it either, just because the person I recommend it to, may not know better, panic, and cause an accident that way.

^this And the company claims a 40,000 hour lifetime. My Focus already started dying right after the warranty expired. My Matrix gave me no troubles at all well past the warranty.

Warranty isn't an indication of how long a part will last. Halogen bulbs usually get around 1,600 - 3,200 hours before burning out. LEDs can go from 40,000 - 100,000 hours.

I agree, probably coincidental (unless you changed your battery out with the ignition switch on). I've seen a dead battery make things flip out but not for three weeks after changing it and counting.

Better off buying a manual outright. There is a lot involved in swapping an automatic to a manual, especially with an OBD-II vehicle.

They didn't make a mistake. Less caster means the car is easier to turn, but you lose high speed stability (which a Corolla doesn't need). More caster makes the wheel straighten out more aggressively after a turn, and the trade-off to that is more force needed for steering.

Jack up the car and place jackstands underneath. Look along the firewall on the passenger side, and you'll see a rubber tube sticking out from the firewall. That is the drain.
