I've never heard of such a thing being possible unless it was being purposely tested in a controlled environment. Toyota's in general don't tend to have any electronic security issues. If someone did manage to break into/steal your car through the manipulation of the smart key/push start system...
Also, be careful with those $80 ones from ebay. I've heard that they tend to rattle/vibrate whenever you start doing highway driving because of the cheap plastic construction/quality. There's also T5i that you can look into, they've got a good variety for Corollas. Mapisa used to sell theirs...
First, nice ride! Love the lights you've got on there.
Second, as far as I'm aware, two spoilers that fit well on the backs of our Rollas are the Mugen RR spoilers and Universal TRD rear wings, the TRD being the more expensive but less risky of the two. There's a member of this forum who has a...
I've only gone over 100mph once so far in the two months that I've had my S. I don't really mind the limitation too much, it's just a bit of a bummer. The notion of having a car that could do 150 was nice until that bubble was popped.
Dang, I wasn't aware of that. He'll, I had just yesterday come to know that the speed governor in Corolla's prevent the car from surpassing 114mph. Granted, there are multiple factors behind that, but still makes you wonder why the heck they put in a speedometer that reads all the way up to 150.
Right? Kinda makes me curious as to what other "well hidden" tricks there are... I tried holding down the sport button for 15 seconds but nothing happened and thus concludes the extent of my experimentation on it lmfao.
Okay, well, you know how when you give your blinker stick a slight push (in either direction) not enough to click it all the way down but just enough for it to register? Kind of like a half press.
Anywho, whenever you do said half press, your turn signal blinks three times. As it turns out...
When my lights came on, I filled my tires up to 35 and, after a minute or so of driving, the tire pressure warning went away. Did you try the pressure sensor reset button? I think it sits on the side of the glove box, don't quote me on that, though.
Also, I talked to the dealership and they said that, as far as they were aware, the data shown on the center display can't be changed... But then again, they also didn't know about the ability to change the blinker pattern frequency until I showed them one of the threads on here talking about...
This looks interesting too but I have a dinky and slow S5. Plus, I stream music via Bluetooth pretty much every single drive, changing a playlist would seem like a bit of a hassle with it rigged up on the dash. Definetely something I'm gonna look into though.
Maybe it's just my weird, specific tastes, but that HUD is an eyesore to look at. Still a very cool concept for sure, but that particular version just isn't for me.
Wow, the '17 actually doesn't look as bad as I thought with those pics but you got yours for only $19k?? That's a hell of a steal for a brand new model. My '15 S was right under $17k with extended warranty and all.
Ahh yeah, on hilly terrain I bet that the S would help out a ton, that way you wouldn't have to ride your brakes down a hill like most everyone else. Here in Houston its nothing but flat roads with potholes like you wouldn't believe, so not too much use for engine braking here!
The front bumper on SE and above models looks too much like the Camry. Also, they completely destroyed the front and tail lights, really not a fan of those. The 50th Anniversary seems neat but not much of an incentive to buy it other than unique paint job and push start. At least that gives me...
Y'know, that is a good question. I've used them a few times but I like the feel of using the stick more... the paddle shifters are definitely fun but it gives off a sort of "arcade game" vibe for me. Maybe a little too much fun, lmao. Now I wish I could change the thread title to that question...
So, before I purchased my 2015 Corolla S, I was driving around a 2015 Camry as a rental. One thing that was useful was the fact that you could have the digital screen (the one that sits between the two tachometers) display the current speed of the car. Does anyone here know if its possible to...
