    What part of the world are you from? Here in the U.S.A., dealer parts and fluids are very, very expensive. How much are you paying at the dealership for the oil and oil filter?     I'm confident Toyota engineers know what the proper oil viscosity is for their vehicles. The recommended viscosity listed in the Toyota Corolla's owners manual is there for a reason.
