Toyota Corolla 2006 electricals dead

#1
Hello,

I used my car untill few days back. Today as I went to unlock the car, it would not unlock so I manually opened it with the key thinking key battery might have died. As I put the key in the ignition no dashboard lights came up. It is like everything is dead. There is no security (anti-theft light) flashing, no ignition, no dashboard lights, no mechanics work like windows or locks. The driver door can be opened manually but none of the other passenger doors can be opened, even manually from inside.

The car does not crank when I try to start up. It is completely dead. I assumed if the car battery was dead, it would let me use my wireless key to lock and unlock the car but that does not seem to work as well. I checked the fob battery which is fine. I even tried using the master manual key without fob but still no change.

Is anyone aware of this problem? Is it to do with anti-theft going bad or central lock deactivated? I used the manual to change that but nothing seems to work.

Please help.
