Av8r, The mainstream LE model will be the most widely available in the used car market, as the LE is the model that Toyota pushes the hardest and offers the deep lease and finance incentives on. As for the CVT requiring more maintenance, I would say that's a rumor or urban car owner legend...

The owner's manual for my 2015 calls for an oil change every 10,000 miles, so that's when I do it. I've been bringing the car to the dealership for all service since new and will continue to do it. As long as you don't let the dealership sell you on unnecessary services, the price isn't too bad.

Keep tires inflated to manufacturer's recommended pressure... no more, no less. The cost of replacing prematurely worn tires will far exceed the money saved by over-inflating the tires. Keep the car in tune, replace the air filter regularly, and keep your foot off the gas as much as possible...
