    Aftermarket Horns Thoughts and Opinions

I can`t comment on those , but I`m glad that they started putting regular horns in the Corolla instead of those Japanese meepmeep horns of yesteryear :)

    Hitting 5000 miles

Also since you are doing 5k oil changes any 0-20 oil will be fine . 0-20w is only made in synthetic and will go 5k miles with ease since Toyota is ok with 10k mile changes .

    Hitting 5000 miles

Wow , you don`t trust the dealer to do something as simple as an oil change ? I took my car in for every free 5k check . They only will do the free changes at the 10k interval . But I did the in between ones at 5 and 15 k . They also rotated tires every 5k and do a multi-point inspection that...

Toyota Corolla 2003 oil change for a first timer

I would recommend car ramps over a jack.Put a block behind the back wheels also and car in gear and parking brake . That should eliminate any possibility of it rolling backward. I have a 2014 Corolla so don`t know what`s recommended for a 03 with quite a few miles.I buy 0-20 synthetic for my...

    2015 Corolla LE replacement tires

I`ve got OEM Michelin tires on my 2014 Corolla. They seem ok . Maybe it`s just getting extra bite on the pavement with the snows.

    Gas cap won't click

I never paid attention to mine. I snug it up but I don`t think it`s clicking. I`m going to have to check that out on my next fill-up.

Weird/moldy smell from AC 2015 Corolla

After driving for a good time with the air conditioning on park and see if you get water dripping under the car, you should . If not your drain could be clogged causing your problem . It`s usually a quick 10 minute fix to clear it out .

    Wax/Polishes/Cleaners

Nu Finish is all I ever use . Don`t let it dry too long and stay out of the sun when you use it. I`m careful not to get it on rubber and I sprayed some Plasti-Cote stripes on the sides of my 14 Corolla and I avoided those also . I`ve found it comes off easier than anything else I ever used...

    Hi

PS Jan , check your oil level often to see if you are running low on oil and keep it topped up to the fill mark on the dip stick , but don`t overfill . Jim

    Hi

Any name brand 0-20 w oil should be just fine . You will probably get a lot of opinions . I personally use either Pennzoil Ultra or Mobil in 0-20w but would not be afraid to use other brands. The key is to change at or before recommended oil change requirements .

    2016 Scion iA

rk97 , I would consider it but my 14 Corolla is only 2 years old and 21k miles so a new car is not in the plans for some time . I too have a motorcycle . Not a speed demon sport bike but it moves and rides to my liking and has a track record of reliability , a 2013 Yamaha Road Star 1700 . I...

Love my 14 Corolla but would like to take that new Scion for a spin. If I were buying new today the Im would be strong contender for me also.

Absolutely not needed . NO benefit to using high octane whatsoever.

    Body Side Moldings

I don`t think they look bad . And the most likely ding s your ever going to get are in parking lots from others car doors .

New cars first oil change to remove metal from break in worth it?

I do change my oil at 5k miles intervals using a 0-20w oil , but that may be a little overkill . I don`t think it`s needed at 500 miles on a new engine even though that was somewhat common to do many years ago . Nothing wrong with Mobil 1 oil . I`m not sure what change interval is on the tranny...
