I would rotate the front tires to the back. That would narrow it down to see if one of those current front tires is bad or just out of balance. If it still did it then I would then do a alignment check .
Got my filters on Ebay both cabin and air filter I believe both for $10.99 . I changed the at 20k miles and the air filter was still quite clean while the cabin filter was getting kind of gunky .
If the IM were available when I bought my 2014 Corolla It would have been a tough choice to make . I like a hatchback and I like the looks of the IM . Really like my Corolla though and trading in would take a beating likely .

I still think a seat cushion is fine. There is the light on the dash that tells when the passenger seat is occupied for air bag deployment. It doesn`t take a whole lot of weight to activate. A large bag of groceries sitting there will do it . I really don`t see any other choices in the matter.
