1993 Corolla - Need Help

I have a 93 corolla and recently ran out of oil on highway... (dont ask haha) well it still starts but knocks pretty good. I checked timing and it didnt slip.. Also checked for metal in the oil i drained from the pan... Any idea if its worth saving or should i let it go??

Did it still knock after you put oil back in it?

yes still knocks after adding oil

Is there other things to check before I consider the engine blown?

Let it go ... spun bearings will make knocking noises. Eventually the engine will break or sieze up entirely.
