91 corolla starts and runs good. After it is just hot, not overheated, it won't start! We have replaced most everything. When trying to start I turn the key and only get a click from under the passenger side dash or firewall: Can't find where the click comes from. It's a soft clicking soft from the ignition switch. Been left stranded for many times. After an hour or so it may start. Seems to be heat related, but???

park00, sorry this is late, but the shop should re-imburse you for the fuel pump and they should check the PCM. Sounds like the issue may be there as the car completely cutting out is signs of a failing PCM.

heycoach, resistance check your ignition coil, and it is possible the ignition module is failing. DIAGNOSE! Don't just throw parts at the car. If you don't have the tools to diagnose them, it'll actually be cheaper to take it to a shop.
