2008 Corolla 5-Speed Squeak When Accelerating

#1
I have a 2008 Corolla LE 5spd manual. 125,000 miles. When accelerating right away from a full stop, there is a noticeable squeak (not squeal) from under the front on the car (happens at the moment before the car comes to a complete stop too).

At the same time, there seems to be something holding the car back as I can stay stopped on a light incline without holding the clutch or pressing the brake.

Do you think it might be the drive-train (please say "no!")? bad bushing? or bad brakes (frozen caliper)? The car also shakes from time-to-time going over 35 (which makes me think it's a brake issue)...

Any ideas as to what I'm looking at here...?

Thank you in advance!!

Probably a sticking slide pin in your caliper. Normally happens when it is not lubricated or incorrectly lubricated. I don't see a drivetrain issue nor a bushing issue causing this.

Things that come to mind:
1. Stuck slide pin
2. Misadjusted parking brake

I agree with John. Best way to tell would be to get the car in the air, e-brake off and transmission in neutral, and spin the tires one by one. If one is harder to spin, that's the culprit.
