Help!!

my 2005 toyota carolla S has an issues w/clock. it constantly dims until you can no longer read time. No other issues w/electrical components of car. can anyone tell me why this is happening & what I can do to correct? I LOVE my car!!!!

Chances are the clock itself is dying. It is rare but it happens. I think in 2005 they were backlit LCD? Chances are the LCD panel itself has worn circuitry.

The clocks in the 2003-2008 models are known to go bad.. Go on youtube and type in toyota corolla clock fix and a guy will show you how to fix it. But it requires a solder tool since you have to re-solder the points in the clock for it to work. Mine is also out in my corolla and i am going to try and solder it soon, if you mess up and break it.. at least you tried because it wasnt going to turn back on trust me. and the clocks the dealerships sell are 300 bucks such a rip off. so basically be very careful when messing with it!
