Need Clutch Replacement Recommendations

#1
My 2008 Corolla S 5 speed has over 120,000 miles on it with the OEM clutch, It has started slipping when it's cold out so I want to replace it.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a brand of complete clutch kit i should buy?

Also any thoughts on replacing the flywheel while i'm in there? If so i'd appreciate recommendations on that as well, with the reasoning behind it :)

Thanks everyone!

Depends. Were you happy with the OEM clutch or are you looking for extra?

I'd keep the flywheel unless you really want an aluminum one. You'll get a little extra power back but sacrafice your idle.

Centerforce makes good clutch kits.

Otherwise, keep the flywheel (I use Scotchbrite to rough it up so the new one can break in on a clean surface, for I only turn them if the clutch chattered), and stick with the OEM clutch.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, I liked the OEM clutch but i wasn't sure if others had seen improvements with particular brands or things like that. The car has been so incredibly reliable I think I will just keep the OEM clutch and flywheel.

Thanks a lot!
