My pleasure Fishy. Just like with the Song of the Day, I am hopeful that a Video of the Day thread will be enjoyed by everyone with many forum members contributing. :)

That first video brought tears of happiness to my eyes. What a great son and man to do something so incredibly nice and so loving for his Mom!

Tim's Place - The Friendliest Restaurant in the World

I wish I lived near Albuquerque, New Mexico, so I could go to this great restaurant! This man didn't allow his, "disability", to stop him from living his dreams! I am most impressed by Tim's comment, "food is food", in other words he understands that customer service and caring about your customers is where it's at. He's a very wise businessman. A lot of large corporations could learn a lot from Tim!

Funny Cats

This has almost 79 million views on YouTube! 01:50 is not real, but computer created. No animal/pet lover would ever think that's, "funny". But the rest of the video is very good and will make you smile/laugh. :):D

The 'ring.

One of the most challenging and deadly tracks in the world. So many off-camber turns, and the track is so large that it can be sunny on one side of the track and pouring rain on another part of the track.

Excellent video Donabed. Thanks!

There were a lot of rich people smashing up their BMW's. I wonder if they had their Grey Poupon with them? :D

A Smart car on the Nurburgring? That doesn't seem too...smart.

I am shocked they allow motorcycles and cars on the track at the same time. There was one crash where a car almost ran over a motorcyclist! I wonder how many people die there every year?

Corvette ZR1 Returns to Nurburgring For New Record (On Board)

Here is an amazing video of the mighty ZR1 Corvette breaking the track lap record at the Nurburging, (for a stock street car). It's an onboard video of the lap record! The ZR1 Corvette posted a faster time at the Nurburgring than any other supercar in the world, including Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti, etc. Incredible engineering went into this great car!

The ZR1 blasted through turns on street tires like it was on rails. I was especially impressed to see this. The driver of the ZR1 Corvette is as incredible as the car; Jim Mero, Corvette Chassis Development Engineer. This guy can drive! The ZR1 Corvette hit top speeds of 183 mph and pulled as much as 1.7 g's in the turns! All this from a totally stock production car costing millions of dollars less than its Euro-supercar competitors!:eek: Incredible! Great job Chevrolet! :clap::thumbup1:

Now, if only I were rich...:)

Track has claimed an awful lot of lives. And yeah, if I had a motorcycle I would NOT share a track with cars. No way in hell.

Impressive time. Not bad for a Government Motors car.

A track record at the Nurburgring, faster than cars costing much, much more; Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari, etc., and you say, "Not bad"? Wow, you're hard to impress! :):D:laughing:

Well let's come back from the dark side and give credit where credit is due.:yes::):D

Here is the Nurburgring lap for the 2014 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Lap time was 7:39:28. Maybe the car had some, "quality", Ford Focus parts and engineering in it?:thumbdown::sick::laughing:

The lap for the 2014 Z-28 Camaro. Lap time was 7:37:47 and that time was not as fast as it could have been due to rain on the last part of the lap!

He lost about 3 seconds from that rain ... there were a couple places I bet he had to check his underwear after, LOL!

The Ford driver is nowhere near the skill level of this guy. The guy that drives for Chevrolet knows Nurburgring by heart.

Just watching the videos of the cars on the track, it doesn't appear that too many common sense safety standards are enforced at the Nurburgring. I have seen videos of people driving their cars on that track and they are not even wearing helmets! The Smart car, which has no business being on a race track, especially with other cars at the same time, presenting a safety hazard to everyone else. I saw an old VW Vanagan being driven on that track, as well as a Honda Civic with a sunroof! If that car had crashed and rolled, the driver could be showered in glass fragments. Front wheel drive economy cars too. I even saw a convertible being raced on that track and it didn't have a roll bar!

To me, this isn't just a lack of common sense, but just downright stupid and negligent.

I'd rather take Ford Engineering over the mandatory recall package that GM is giving it's line-up ;-)
After the automotive nightmare known as the Ford Focus that I owned, I've learned that, "Ford Engineering", is not something I want to experience ever again. I'll take a company that mans up to their mistakes and issues a recall over a company that in my opinion knowingly keeps manufacturing defective engines, (i.e. Ford Escort and Focus), for years on end, giving the shaft to thousands and thousands of customers all over the world and never issuing any kind of recall or reimbursement to the customer. That is just horrible and that lack of caring for the customer goes into every vehicle they make, not just the Escort or Focus. Due to the defective engine design in the 2.0 Split Port Ford Focus engine, Ford has personally cost me thousands of dollars. Do they care? No. No recall in order to take care of customers.

Never again will I buy a Ford product, no way, no how.

No doubt, if that track was in America, a lot would be changed, and not just rules.

Actually, my Focus never stranded me despite the problems, LOL!

Both Mustangs I owned were good to me. Foci are meant to be cheap, the Mustang is built to take abuse.

Bf 109 Pilot Franz Stigler and B-17 pilot Charlie Brown's First Meeeting

Bf 109 Pilot Franz Stigler and B-17 pilot Charlie Brown's First Meeting

This is one of the most wonderful videos I've ever seen and a true story. The humanity, mercy and honor this German fighter pilot gave this B-17 crew is awe-inspiring. If his superiors had of discovered what he did, he could have and probably would have been shot. There are some good people in this world!:) Enjoy.

A fantastic dogfighting scene with the mighty F-14 Tomcat! This is what it's about folks, to be militarily prepared to destroy and defeat the enemy, making sure nations that mean us harm know we are well prepared to defend ourselves! This is what prevents wars! Peace through strength works!

1) It isn't a birthday cake.
2) Never start a car without exhaust headers on
3) Keep fuel source away from the engine
4) DON'T USE WATER, use a fire extinguisher.

#43
Starting the engine will actually suffocate a flame ... but only when the flame is from the carburetor and not the entire engine ... LOL!

What's worse is that he panicked and turned on the fuel pump AFTER THE FIRE!

When an engine is on fire and it's spreading, between starting the engine or running to get a fire extinguisher, or hose to put the fire out, I'll take not starting the engine and putting the fire out.

That person...err...'scuse me..."dude"... wasn't wearing safety gloves, he wasn't wearing eye protection, there was no fire extinguisher nearby and there was an open container of gasoline which caught on fire. They are extremely lucky they didn't burn the entire garage down, if not worse. That..."dude"...shouldn't be working on a car, as they are a walking safety hazard!

Did you know that Hitler suffered horrible child abuse at the hands of his father, who beat him mercilessly? Did you know that this caused Hitler to have sexual relations with his mother? There were even more gross sexual deviations. He wasn't just insane, he was a very mentally and spiritually broken man. This and much more you can learn from this incredible video -

5 min. 27 secs.

A beautiful video, demonstrating the speed, maneuverability and power of the amazing F-14 Tomcat! If I were a fighter pilot, this is the plane I'd want to entrust my life with. The F-14 Tomcat was one of the most potent and able planes to ever grace the skies!
