TRD radiator cap

#1
So I bought a TRD radiator cap, mostly because it's an OEM performance part.
The stock cap is 88kpa which is 12.7 psi.
The TRD cap is 1.3 bar, about 18.8 psi.
So I've just increased the pressure in my cooling system by 6.1 psi.
That seems enormous.
Has anyone else installed this part and have you noticed any differences?

I wouldn't call a radiator cap a performance part. Increasing the pressure just means the coolant can reach a higher temperature before the cap releases excess pressure back into the overflow tank. You wouldn't notice an issue until the car starts having coolant issues 15 or so years from now, and honestly, you're better off going back.

Running at a higher temperature just means you're more likely to warp the heads and blow a head gasket.
