VIDEO - Thieves Now Have A Device To Instantly Open Your Car Doors!

Few possibilites: 1) Brute force. The device sends every possible code as quickly as it can to the car. But given the speed at which the car unlocks, I don't see it. Even a simple 8-bit code would take a couple minutes. 2) Inside job, someone is posting stock remote codes online and this box...

Or 27 ... that works too.

    Transmission Reliability

I don't think most people on this forum are willing to gamble on how long their transmission fluid will last. It is your car in the end.

    What Oil?

Not sure, but typically they are ~12 ft-lb. They don't need a lot.

    Plasti Dip Grill

It is unique. I'm more of a fan of Black/Red or Black/Blue myself, but it is cool. Sucks you saw another car with the same scheme though.

2011 Corolla - Weird Sound When in Drive

First things first. Park your car on level ground. Start the engine, then go R-N-D-N-R and repeat 3x, giving each gear enough time to engage (~2 seconds), then put the transmission in P and WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, check the transmission fluid level with the dipstick. If it is low, slowly add...

2010 Corolla Cleaning Front Brake/Rotors and Rear Drums

Pretty much the same way. Hit it with BraKlean and wipe with a lint-free rag.

Thanks for keeping us posted, and glad that the engine wasn't damaged.

    Transmission Reliability

I'm with stu. Yeah ... you COULD go 120k without an transmission filter and oil change, but it could slip and burn up at 120,001. Every 60k is good. I'd go and change the fluid and filter since you are about on the 120k mark. It would be like pushing oil to 30k and just "keeping an eye on...

How To Properly Shift A Car

Also, when I go to an automatic I angle my left foot behind my right so that I remember not to use it, LOL!

How To Properly Shift A Car

Last time I drove my girl's car I spun a bearing and it ran me $1100. Granted it was a Suzuki POS, but I think it'll be the last time I drive anybody else's car for quite some time, LOL!

How To Properly Shift A Car

Charisma, go on YouTube and look up "Missed Shift Blows Engine" Pretty much all videos show them clawing the shifter and using their wrist to shift. I have never missed a shift in my car and grenaded doing this method, but to each their own. I used to claw when I was a nub. A missed shift...

Give Toyota a call. I think they are the only ones that will know at this point in time.

Which Car Did You Come From?

I had a 1996 GT as a project car but I let it go. Was turning into a money pit and between work and school, I had no time. Richard, Mustangs hold their value quite well for an American car.

What is Your Current Average MPG?

I'm at 25 mpg right now but I just filled up and was in mostly city traffic. Should creep back to the 30s easily before my next fill up.

    What Oil?

Standard oil can't get lower than 5W, so 0W will always be synthetic. That's damn cheap though if that is what they are charging. I haven't seen standard oil at that price in a decade.

    Megan Racing Lowering Springs

Not if they changed the strut geometry or the track width. You can have similar springs but if they changed the track width, then it would be a no-go.
