How Long Has Anyone Run a Timing Belt ?

Non-interference wait until it quits. Just know that you can get stranded at any given moment (personally I'd replace it in the same manner I do my accessory drive belt every 60,000 miles, being stranded sucks and timing belts aren't easy to replace).

LED Dome & Licens Plate Markers

Keep the fogs stock or you'll hate yourself if you ever have to drive through it. As far as the turn indicators go, check out switchback LEDs. Seen them on Mustangs and other cars here and there and they look pretty neat. They stay bluish-white with the parking lights, and alternate to amber...

First Time Corolla Owner - S Plus

How did you add the amp? Is there a way to do it with the factory wiring? I love the stock headunit and I want to add a subwoofer, but I'm not sure how it wires in to the Entune Premium unit.

    2003 Corolla S - How Can I Improve

Weight Reduction does not make a fun daily driver, but it is free, if power is more important to you than accessories.

    Clutch Replacement Recommendations

I believe the AC Delco is OEM. Not sure about Valeo, AMS, or Luk. I hear Sachs are decent but not sure how long they will last. Performance clutches, like RAM and Centerforce (and I only see Centerforce on summitracing.com), will take abuse harder, but on a price stand-point, I'm not actually...

    1994 Fuel Problem

Ah alright, so then the pressure washing was unrelated to it. If you are getting voltage at the fuel pump, and the fuel pump works when connected to the battery, then the problem is either a corroded relay (which, again, sealed units, shouldn't happen), or poor wiring/electrical connections...

    Maximizing Fuel Economy

Best way to truly tell would be to keep as many things constant as possible. Use the same gas pump, fill to first cut-off. One tank stay at 65, noting outside temperature and humidity. Next tank, do 75, noting outside temperature and humidity. Find average temperature and humidity during 65...

    For those With a 6MT

Yeah, best shifting transmission I've ever seen, and the gating is perfect. My sister has a six-speed Fusion, really easy to go from 6th to 2nd on accident (luckily I have quick enough reflexes to put the clutch back in), and going from 3rd to 2nd is irritating because the shifter gets snagged...

    Maximizing Fuel Economy

Check it again. Several things affect mileage, could be a fluke. Car needs more fuel to move at 75 then at 65. If the car was in a different gear at both speeds it is possible, but even things like ambient temperature and humidity affect mileage.

Gas tank / How much MPG?

I get around 34 (display), but since the engine has been broken in I've been lead-footing it a little bit and am hovering around 30 on the display.

    LE to S Design?

The headlight accents are different colors on the S and other models. Chances are nobody would notice. 2000-2004 Focus was the same way. Two headlights, one silver one dark grey, depended on the exterior color of the car.

    Rough Idle When Cold

You should be changing O2 upstream sensors every 60,000 miles anyway to keep up fuel economy. If you replace it and it fixes the code you're set. If you replace it and it doesn't, then you have a fresh O2 sensor that you are probably due on as it is, and then you can start looking for other...

P0125 Code and Loss of Power

It is POSSIBLE that all 4 coils are throwing codes simultaneously, but incredibly rare. Check your battery connections and make sure they are free of corrosion, and the ground will be the ones that go from engine to chassis. Not sure on the exact location but you typically have two ground...

    Throwout Bearing Not Retracting

Also, that spring you saw in other cars was probably used for harmonics. My '96 Mustang GT was cable and there was only a clutch pedal spring to keep it up and not have the pedal vibrate. The pressure plate kicks the throw-out bearing by its own force without assistance.

    Throwout Bearing Not Retracting

It's a hydraulic clutch isn't it? Hydraulics have the return spring in the clutch pedal or the master clutch cylinder itself. If it is cable, the return is probably on the pedal. And yes, you actually want the throw-out bearing to rest on the fingers to eliminate vibration from the throw-out...
