    New Owner As of Yesterday

Ha! I drive a car until the wheels fall off too! And then I fix them and put them back on! I drive an 1989 Dodge pickup. All the Toyotas in my family belong to the women. I wouldn't trust them in anything else.

    2015 Corolla L Automatic - No Acceleration

Ok Hopefully this is my last post on this thread. I hope the gremlins went away (that would be a first). Put my kid in her brand new car off to Houston (900 miles) and she made it ok, no dash warning lights, no xmission slippage. I'll keep my eyes crossed. Side note: I did have the tires...

    2001 Corolla - Help, Car Won't Start :(

More than likely you will need to replace that starter or rebuild it yourself, if it's the starter which more than likely it is it Will hang up again. Also I want you to know that there could be an ignition relay problem. It's a slim chance. Check to see online to see if your vehicle has one...

2004 Toyota Corolla S Manual Trans - Tires Seizing

Me? With everything put back together I would wait till they (I'm assuming it's Both front wheels that seize) seize again, lift the front, open the caliper bleeder valves and see if you could get the wheels to turn by grabbing on to them and try and forcing them to turn. See if the wheel gets...

    2001 Corolla - Help, Car Won't Start :(

Did you put the starter back on the car and try and start it? Sometimes a starter/solenoid will not activate and needs a little *bump*, you did that at O'reillys. Got a good 12 volts coming off the battery to the starter?

2015 Corolla - Question About Transmission

Opening Hoods Naw, Opening hoods is fun. It's interesting to see what's (and what's not) underneath them. I think half the beauty of a vehicle is under the hood.

2015 Corolla - Question About Transmission

Automatic Transmission The 2015 US model L is the only Corolla model offered with a conventional 4 speed automatic transmission and a dipstick to check the ATF. CVTs do Not have a dipstick and are Not an option on the L models.

    2015 Corolla L Automatic - No Acceleration

Yeah they were waiting for me when I took it back in the second time. They apologized, after running the VIN before I got there that Clearly states 4 speed auto. The car is running fine. Really I should take it to another dealer and see what they say.

    2015 Corolla L Automatic - No Acceleration

Ok, Got the Corolla back from the official Toyota Service Center after 5 days. They said they went over it with a fine tooth comb and couldn't find anything wrong with it. The car's going to Houston (1000 miles) here in about a week for 4 months. I hope the gremlins don't come back!

    Rotary Shift Knobs -The Future?

Edsels used to have push buttons in the center of the steering wheel, Chryslers used to have them on the dash. I've seen some with a little stick shifter sticking out of the dash. But yeah keep *the stick* in the tree or console!

2008 Corolla - Burnt ATF Fluid at 100k - Course Of Action?

Yeah if you are using conventional oil (non synthetic) and changing your motor oil at around 3K-5K miles I would drain what comes out of the tranny drain plug every 2nd engine oil change. That's what I used to do. I think the tranny drain plug will drain off between 3-4 quarts, also I think...

    2015 Corolla - Automatic Transmission

I don't feel a down shift or see the RPMs going up when moving the shifter from "D" to "3".

    2015 Corolla - Automatic Transmission

How about this, Toyota calls their *L* automatic transmission a "4 speed" but does it Really have 3 shift points (1-2, 2-3 and 3-4)? Is there actually a 4th gear? My thinking is on the gear shift selector you have "1", "2", "3" and "D" gated to "3" and all "D" does is allow the transmission to...

    Need A Boost?

Mr. Fish, maybe it's time to buy a battery rated for your cars driving conditions. Also have a charging system test done, my auto parts store does them for free. Hopefully you don't have a parasitic drain, they can be a pita to figure out. Good Luck!

    2015 Corolla L Automatic - No Acceleration

Yeah ok, It was all bows and praise to me when I went out to the dealership yesterday. Dealership Supervisor and Head Mechanic told me they would go over the whole drive train with a fine tooth comb. Gave me a fancy loaner, a cup of coffee and some doughnuts. Proof, men are less likely to get...
