    Upgrades for My LE

Lots of good info here ... I'm with Donabled on the K&N - I ran one in high school on my V-8. With newer cars having 30K filter intervals and a paper filter around $15 compared to $45 for a K&N, it will be 90K miles before I make up the cost difference from buying the K&N. And that doesn't...

    Upgrades for My LE

Made sense with carburetors - more air into the engine gave you better fuel atomization and more power and better mileage. With fuel injection - the ECU mixes the proper amount of fuel for the amount of air available. In theory - more air equals more fuel to keep the mixture constant = worse...

Does the Stock Radio Have RCA Outlets?

There is very little reason for an OEM to include subwoofer RCA outputs. If they wanted to add a subwoofer to the car, they would hard-wire the amp into the radio harness so that you would spend $1500 for the "premium" audio rather than adding your own. (Same reason all the factory rear-view...

Does the Stock Radio Have RCA Outlets?

What didn't you understand? If the amp has speaker level inputs, you can use them, but you will tap into the front or rear speaker outputs to feed the subwoofer - so when you fade to front or rear you will change the subwoofer volume. Same thing will happen with a LOC unless you use a...

Does the Stock Radio Have RCA Outlets?

Or speaker level inputs on your amplifier - and there aren't subwoofer outputs either, so the fader will probably affect the subwoofer volume.

How to Remove Four Wheels At Once?

Agreed - although I don't think you need to worry about inexpensive jackstands being dangerous. It's similar to say ratchet wrenches - if you are turning wrenches for a living, it makes sense to buy Snap-On or Craftsman or Matco, etc. If you are just doing maintenance on your own car, Harbor...

    Stereo Upgrade

No it makes sense now - it is asking whether the camera input wire is triggered by +12V, by GND, or the camera essentially is not used by the head unit. Makes sense to me, but it isn't something I would have thought to check, so thanks for posting it.

    Stereo Upgrade

This part lost me ... It is just plug and play, correct? (i.e. splice the 13 or so wires from the Pioneer to the new harness and plug the new harness into the car and you are good to go, correct?)

I Need Your Help - Dealer Runaround Two Service Calls So Far

For me, it's less color choices in the Eco, for more money and less availability (and apparently dicey charging system logic).

    Fog Lights

Blue that matches the headlights (6K or ice Blue) should be legal, as should changing the lights to yellow. Typically laws are against red or blue lights in the front which can be mistaken for emergency vehicles (although local police will sometimes hassle you for green or purple or pink also)...

    TPMS Trouble

Interesting - page 450 of the manual. So from what I can tell, it sets the relative pressure. i.e. the light doesn't come on below 25 psi like most cars ... If I set the cold tire pressure to 32 psi, the light comes on 5 or 8 or some number below that and if I set the cold tire pressure 5 psi...

I Need Your Help - Dealer Runaround Two Service Calls So Far

I might avoid an ECO for that reason (was likely to anyway). A few extra MPG aren't worth that type of aggravation ...

    Stereo Upgrade

Looking forward to the info. The Steering wheel controls you can retain with a Metra adapter, but it is really nice to be able to keep the camera without having to swap it for a Chinese aftermarket one or cut/splice the factory wiring.

I Need Your Help - Dealer Runaround Two Service Calls So Far

Do we KNOW this? The only thing definitive I saw was the OP's dealer said "All the cars do this" - which often is codeword for "We are too lazy to look into figuring out the REAL problem."

    Stereo Upgrade

I'm more interested in the radio harness than the tweeter plug, although both would be nice. Also - I think this could end up being VERY lucrative for him. Metra only makes a rear view camera interface for a couple of GM models and RVC is going to be required on all USA cars within the next...

    TPMS Trouble

Per the manual, I think you are supposed to press the reset button when you rotate the tires. (Which seemed odd to me as Toyota is the only car I have ever heard of requiring this ...)

How to Remove Four Wheels At Once?

Yep - I've seen this and I've done this. That said - it's a commercial floor jack, if not a compressed air powered jack, not a $39 jack from harbor freight, and I haven't seen them work under the car with it only on the jack.
