    Anyone Installed Aftermarket For Lights?

hey guys, I put a new bumper on my car along with some halo projector headlights. my old bumper was cracked so I thought I would upgrade the headlights at the same time and add some fog lights. I got the halo projector headlights all wired up and working great. I really like the way they look...

    2003 Corolla Blower Problems

Don't count on it. I've had three blower motors replaced under warranty. I think there are some electrical issues that cause mine to keep failing. Hope you have better luck! Thankfully, blower motors are easy to replace and fairly cheap. I have also heard of others simply opening it up and...

    2006 Corolla LE Issues

Ya as Scott said, that is pretty excessive. I haven't even put that much into my 2000 Land Rover Discovery since I bought it! (And I've done a lot of repairs and maintenance :) I bought my 06 Corolla new and have put 85,000 miles on it. I've had 2 repairs done (not normal maintenance), and it...

    My New Toy

I don't know about others, but there are major problems with the blower motors in these things. I have had two replaced under warranty. I only have about 86xxx on mine. Let me know if the lube helps the motor. As mine were dying, they progressively got louder until they just stopped working...

Not to insult anyone's intelligence, but I assume you have checked all your fuses and relays?

What is Wrong With the Electrics?

I would check all your grounds to make sure they are getting good contact. I hate the electrics in these cars, they have lots of issues. Nothing huge, but just lots of little annoying things like this all the time.

    Strut Replacement

Just a local tire shop called Alpha Tire. I got a coupon I the mail for an alignment service for $29. Just had new tires put on and knew it needed to be done. Obviously I won't be going back there anytime soon. Besides, I really prefer to do everything I can myself. I am doing two masters...

    Strut Replacement

Haha ya they were giving me all sorts of pressure do replace them. Glad I walked out. I did the bounce test and I actually think me struts are just fine. Probably not 100%, but I think they have some life left in them. The car did not bounce around hardly at all when I would bounce it and then...

    Strut Replacement

Thanks Scott for all the info. I really appreciate it. The shop that did the alignment did tell me beforehand. All they wanted was $1,200 to replace all the struts, which I immediately replied I would not require. He showed me mine while the vehicle was up. I did not see any oil leaking out of...

    Strut Replacement

Thanks for the info. Are all four struts the same? I thought the front and rears were slightly different, but I could be totally off... Also, you say changing these is a pretty tough job? Could you give me a little guidance on what is involved? I would like to do this myself it possible...

    Strut Replacement

Hey everyone, 2006 corolla with about 80k on the odometer. Is this a typical mileage to replace struts? Was told when I had my alignment done I needed new ones. Is that an easy job? I would like to it myself. I change all my fluids, done new rotors and pads, and feel pretty comfortable with a...

    A/C Not Working Properly

Probably just low on freon. Over time it leaks out. My Rover did the exact same thing at the beginning of summer. Had the freon recharged for $20 and it's blowing ice cold. You can do it yourself by buying one of those kits but they're like $45. I found it cheaper just to have someone put more...

2004 Corolla - Will Turn Over But Not Run

Ya the no-drain on the battery is certainly interesting. Is your CEL on? If so, get your codes read at a local chain auto store and we'll see if they can lead you in a better direction of knowing what is going on.

    2004 - Just Got a Corolla!

Welcome. One of the cheap mods I've done in my corolla that I have loved is simply replaced the dome festoon bulb with an led. Nice bright white light now in my corolla. You can get them on ebay for pretty cheap. 31mm is the size. You can get them in a lot of colors too if you like something...

    Radiator Fan A/C Problem Question

I would first have your AC pressure tested. It could simply be low on freon. I'm not sure what psi the corolla ac runs at, but it should be easy to find out. Over time, freon will slowly leak out.

2004 Corolla - Will Turn Over But Not Run

I'm no expert, but I would check your fuel pump. That would be my guess. Also get your codes read. They should help you track down what is going on. As for the leaking, if I was you, I would take it back to pep boys and tell them they need to fix the leak since they put the engine in. Can you...
