Please file a complaint with NHTSA on their "file a vehicle safety complaint" page since so many of us have this same issue but they won't issue a recall unless they know more cars are affected!

IMHO- No one should have to pay again to have the items purchased with the car. To me, this makes it a scam to know so many have this issue and leave them stranded with nothing or tell them to replace it out of pocket. It's one thing to desire to upgrade from a working system to something else...
