It all depends on how the circuit is wired. You'd have to trace the seat-belt wiring to make sure you don't cut anything that would go into the PCM or airbag module. Or you could just wear the damn seatbelt ... that's also an option :-)

Rather have a V-8. The Ford Ti-VCT engines aren't a joke. 3.7 V-6 @ 300 hp, 5.0 V-8 @ 425 hp. For 2015 they're adding an Ecoboost I-4 @ 320 hp, V-6 will be at 310 hp, and the 5.0 up to 450 hp (rumored).
