I drove the 2018 Camry SE for a week as a loaner and loved it! It is fast and responsive. The body style of the SE even looks sportier than the new Lexus IS. A used one costs about the same as a brand new Corolla. Yes, I would definitely consider it. I just have to justify if the lowered fuel...
And you missed the part where I said...
"I just wasn’t happy due to loss of torque, power, and response. I had to hit the gas pedal hard to compensate."
It seems common sense isn’t your cup of tea because you think spending money on mods that has little or no improvement is still worth it even...
Excellent video. Jump to the last 40 seconds if you don't want to waste time watching the whole thing. CAI's are usually good for high RPM. It's a Toyota Corolla. People buy it for daily driving for its fuel efficiency and reliability, not for the track.
I think you’ve been hanging around rice groups too much. LOL! What you call “restrictive” are actually designed to optimize engine performance because that’s how manufacturers designed it. Your theory might be true for carburetors. It’s different with computer controlled fuel injected engines...
I've never used the CG air freshener. LOL! But I do use both Masterson's Tire & Trim as well as Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. Both products have that industrial smell that makes your car smell like new.
Toyotas are pretty reliable. But if your car is over 15 years old, problems come up. If no one else can help with your electrical problem, try brining it to the dealer.
Unfortunately, after market intakes and exhausts will do nothing for your car other than make it look cool and sound loud. It may even change the performance of your car for the worse. Any modification to your engine or exhaust requires professional dyno tuning to get optimum performance to your...
I believe Masterson's sells trim or leather cleaner and conditioner that makes your car smell like new again. There's also Chemical Guys new car smell air freshener. LOL! Unfortunately, nothing will remove cigarette smell.
Any exhaust you install will only amplify the sound of Corolla's tiny engine so you'll actually have people impressed with the sound or laughing at it. Improving the performance is a matter of opinion. Personally, I'm happy with the sound and performance of my stock exhaust, so I'm keeping it...
It's not a matter of whether or not it's a good idea, but it's a matter of preference. If you do decide to replace your exhaust, choose one with a low rumble. Stay away from loud ricey exhaust especially the high pitched ones.
If you must go with Bridgestone only, then I suggest the Potenza RE760 Sport. Otherwise, the Dunlop Direzza DZ102 is also highly rated, higher tread wear, and is currently on sale at tirerack.com. And yes, you can go wider at 225/45-17!
