    LED fogs

Please post photos of your yellow laminate with your lights on. I'm thinking of getting my fog/driving lights laminated.

    LED fogs

Yellow/amber fog lights actually cut through fog better than white fog light. Therefore, you can see further through fog with yellow or amber lights compared to white lights which reflect in a fog. I plan to replace my the fogs on my 2017 Corolla when I find the right yellow or amber lights.

    Cold air intake

In my experience, I actually lost torque during acceleration using a cold air intake, so I ended up with a high revving engine that is slow as a turtle from a stop. I reverted to the oem intake and installed AEM dryflow filter instead. I noticed some improvement in performance. Some is better...

    Automatic Windows

I'm curious thinking this is more of a computer programing modification than a mechanical one. And then I saw this in Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/Directed-Electronics-535T-Automation-Operation/dp/B00H4N1Y2O/ref=sr_1_1/140-1737128-6223244

    Replacement motor

Read your state's automotive repair website for guidelines. It should be exactly the same type of engine from the same year. Once I replaced my Honda Civic engine, and it was a rebuilt engine from Japan. Although it was the same year and make, the serial number was not on the list in the state's...

    Headlight Blackout

I would check if this is even legal. In my humble opinion, I’m totally against blacking out and dimming any lights, front or back. Manufacturers and most people are doing things to brighten their lights for better visibility, safety, and courtesy. Doing things to your lights that may degrade its...

Are the 2014 mods compatible with 2017

After market headers are no-no too! Smog tech refused to pass smog when he noticed my new headers. Had to put everything back to orig. Pass your smog test before doing any mods. Be ready to switch back to oem before your next smog test. Specifically on the front end.

Are the 2014 mods compatible with 2017

I have an XSE. I don't notice it, but it looks high to me. It's more obvious with low profile tires. I plan to lower it someday.

    Sound familiar?

I hate it when that happens! LOL! I'm surprised the shop didn't do further inspection on the cause of the noise. As you mentioned, they should have checked your calipers and rotors when they checked the brakes. Something tells me ignoring it may lead you to more expensive repair or safety risk.

    Car Rev/Disconnected Piece?

Where does that hose lead to? I'm guessing it's an air intake. Have you checked your air filter lately? Dirty air filters will do a number on your engine performance.

    Sound familiar?

Definitely take it to the shop. Hopefully you just need new brake pads.

Are the 2014 mods compatible with 2017

Although intakes may fit different vehicles, you need to make sure it is designed specifically for your vehicle and year. Once I failed smog test because the intake I installed was for a different year. When I researched it, the intake manufacturer did have a different part number for my model...

    Which corolla do you suggest?

According to Consumer Reports, here are good choices for used Toyota Corolla Under $10,000: Toyota Corolla 2007-2011 Under $15,000: Toyota Corolla 2012-2014 So you can probably get a 2012 Corolla in your price range. I used to owned Civics, and I would go back to it any time!

    Would You Buy Another Toyota?

Sure! I'd probably get a Camry next or the sporty 860. Unless I find Honda better.
