    USB Media - Super Slow

Yeah, the JVC is like that also - 30 seconds whenever I start the car and switch to USB, but after that it is instant. I SO wish you could do sub-contract work for Pioneer, JVC/Kenwood, Alpine, Clarion, etc. - not that it will happen, but one can hope ...

2014 L Trim Adding Keyless Entry

The Toyota kit will be easier to install as the instructions are specifically coded to your car. But yes, all of them will work if you understand what you are doing.

    Request On Sharing Price

Generally, you can go to TrueCar.com and put in your zipcode. Then check with Costco, AutoTrader, cars.com and local print media. Pick the lowest of those and get the dealer you want to buy from to come close or price match it.

    Suppliers to the 2014 Corolla

Very cool - keep in mind though that suppliers have different quality levels. For example, Alpine/Pioneer/Clarion/Blaupunkt make a lot of OEM radios but that does not mean those radios are as high performance/quality as their aftermarket radios.

    USB Media - Super Slow

But waiting 30 seconds for your music to start gets old quick. What some decks (and the Toyota) do and that I wish mine did - is index in the background when I am listening to FM or while I am listening to the song I left off with, and then have the index ready if I want to browse for...

    USB Media - Super Slow

Those are reasonable limits, but ... Again, I've seen some decks with around 2,000 or 5,000 file total limits. Sometimes the manual is talking about limits for CD-R's and not for USB sticks. Not sure why the access time is so much longer for a car deck. My JVC takes about 1-second per GB to...

    USB Media - Super Slow

A couple of points still need to be clarified. If it is supported, you should stick to NTFS. The problem is most car stereos (not sure about the Corolla OEM radio) will only read FAT32 media. (I'm not sure why car audio tends to have limits on numbers of files and numbers of folders and...

    USB Media - Super Slow

Okay - I'm using a 64 GB drive with my JVC. I didn't reformat it, and I think I have more than 32 GB of files on it - if not, I have close to that. Unless it came as ExFAT or something or the JVC can read it, I don't know what to tell you.

    Trim Levels: LE vs. S

Doesn't really factor in for me - It's maybe $500 more for a S Base than an LE Base, but I probably want driving lights (fogs), and it has those, so it saves me $125 over adding the bezels to the LE (assuming I add the Miromoto's - but less incentive to do that if it has OEM fogs already).

    Corolla Rear Bumper

Depends how you define "Not too much". I've never known a body shop to charge less than $200 for painting - and that was a panel that didn't need flex agent - at Maaco - if I removed the trim myself.

    Trim Levels: LE vs. S

I believe the S also has different seats (not just different seat coverings) which might affect the drive as much as suspension changes. Base S only has 16-inch wheels in the USA also. The Corolla is a real oddity to me there are things I like better about all the different models and even the...

    2014 Corolla - Orange Peel

    Stereo Upgrade

Was that regular price for it? (I got the impression you might have gotten a discount b/c it sounded like they were developing it specifically for your car.) You can get the Metra ASWC-1 for $40 so price is about the same. Basically - it ends up as: Crux advantages - Integrates the OEM...

    Corolla Rear Bumper

Also - http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-Bumper-Protector-Corolla-New/dp/B00FFMK17U - I would plan to install this on the new car to PREVENT scratches, but if your scratches are in this area, it would hide existing ones and prevent new ones.

    Stereo Upgrade

Thanks - Crux is a reputable company (Crutchfield carries them). From your previous comments in the thread, it sounded like something some college kid wired up in his garage. It looks like this part is too new to hit the retail chains yet, but pricing looks like it will be in the $80-$160...
