I don't know if it's exactly the same. There are many models and variants. The K313 already manage 140HP in the Corolla LE Eco and you can bet that Toyota didn't calculate the capacity at 1HP close. Other models from Toyota-Aisin already hold 268HP in the Subaru WRX.

If you are talking about OEM 2017, they are bi-led, not bi-xenon. You would also have to change the front bumper, as the shape of the lens is different (longer narrow part for 2017 vs 2014)

Anything is possible with knowledge, a lot of time and a lot of money. You'd need the trans (example) a new ecu for the car to realize it has a new configuration and some interior console parts to accommodate the new shift lever (example)... I don't know if anyone has done it... unless enjoying...

I don't know for 2017 but the 2014 OM stated the same thing about changing number of flash... and the procedure didn't work. Its a dealer thing, despite what the OM say.

Just random toughts : Have you tried a properly format USB device with music ? Configuration of the phone ? If it's defective, no update will help you...

It's engine braking, CVT way. Not a defect. The only solution is what you mention : cancel the cruise (it's just a tap to cancel, another one to resume). Plus don't use radar function on hilly roads, as it can be "fooled" by that. Actually, the OM don't even recommend using the cruise on hilly...

Convex mirrors are great, but not required if you adjust the car mirror properly, which is often note the way we've learn. Simply no blind spot. Works perfectly on my Corolla, a bit less on some other cars I've had, that had too small mirrors.

3th/4th gear : those are just fake shifting points. Not necessarily relevant. Dash shaking or the car itself ? If not, simple dash rattle ? If so : a lot of possibilities beside CVT : uneven/unbalance tires, motor mount, etc... 1 year 44K : well within 5 years 60K drivetrain warranty = your best...
