Still on top reliability wise in this segment

The next Corolla is also supposed to be all new from frame to engines with part of the production from a new plant... so who knows ? Although I trust manufacturing quality control from Toyota more than from Honda : new cars with missing piston ring clip? Improperly machined shaft in...

    Debris in the pipe ?

    Issues pitting in gas

Euh... You left the two most plausible variables of the equation out : the gas pump and the operator. The car doesn't "pump" gas, the gas station pump does, hence it's name.

    Battery issue

True, hot temp is harder than cold temp on battery (though a weakness will show on freezing mornings). So far 4½ years of hot summers and cold winters on original battery. Johnson Controls, I think.

    transmission fluid

You don't mention if you have a 6MT, 4AT or CVT. In any event, most modern transmissions are "sealed". It means no dipstick, so checking or changing require some tool and procedure. "Lifetime fluid" is a bit of an overstatement that you won't find in the owner manual, but comes from the fact...

    Regarding Mild Burn Smell

Sudden or not, indeed the engine react : modern engines are electronically controlled to adapt in real time to octane rate. It won't cause a burn smell. Brakes, oil or coolant leak, electrical problems might, or even some debris stuck in engine bay. Did they check all this ? Retrieve codes from...

Worst Case Scenarios for out 11th Gen Corollas

Oh ! And a 4th novelty : LED low beams, a nice and quite exclusive touch, almost "lifetime" themselves ! ;)

Worst Case Scenarios for out 11th Gen Corollas

The three main novelties of the current generation Corolla were the CVT, the 2ZR-FAE (Valvematic) in LE Eco and the stretched platform/wheelbase with slightly modified rear suspension. The latter did improve road manners, space and comfort. The 2 first significantly improved MPG. If CVT and...

Gift from Toyota? Plus Wrap Synthetic 10K Plan

Oh then it's not a gift nor a mistake. Previous owner probably bought this third party/dealer package and it follows the car. Their main argument is that you are protected against inflation by paying your maintenance in advance but their main goal is dealer loyalty. I wouldn't personally care...

Gift from Toyota? Plus Wrap Synthetic 10K Plan

Either a mistake or marketing to get you at the dealer where they can push services and fees. Depends on the value of the vouchers : are they rebates on higher prices in the first place ? Any conditions ?

    Seatbelt Alarm Won't Turn Off

Some switch, connection or wiring defective between the buckle and the dash. A pain to find !

Driving in Manual Mode a Bad Idea??

Yep ! Almost 8 years now for the K313. The one in the Prius is a totally different beast, though : planetary vs belt/pulley for K313. . Yep again ! Nowadays, with electronic nannies, cars are getting more and more "idiot proof" anyway. They'll let you do whatever you want unless they dont "like"...

Driving in Manual Mode a Bad Idea??

"Sport mode" doesn't necessarily means constantly using manual shifting. OP is asking about constantly using manual shifting, not just leaving the car in Sport mode.

    Touch screen corolla 2014 le

Here you go. Since you don't mention what kind of touchscreen you gave, note that this procedure only works with Entune "Premium" (with apps and navigation). I don't think the option is even a possibility on Entune regular (no apps nor nav.).

Driving in Manual Mode a Bad Idea??

How practical (and mpg efficient) it is on the long term passed the novelty effect is up to you but you'll be fine : electronic nannies are there to prevent you from abusing it. It basically allows you to play with the rpms as long as the car find it's convenient for itself. :)

    CVT vs Tire Size

It's not a "CVT" thing, it's a "any transmission" thing and it's about extra strain caused by bigger/heavier wheels. More directly, a difference in diameter would also affect readings from ABS, TC and speedometer sensors. In your case, it's not even an issue since the Corolla is engineered to...

    !!! Attention!! 2014 -17 Corolla & IM PCM UPDATE!!

Acceleration, whatever the trans, won’t get you a ticket. Over speeding will… which some will manage to achieve driving a Mitsu Mirage 78 HP CVT (like in a school zone) while a Ferrari driver won’t. It’s the driver, not the car. ;) Nissan has 30K intervals, and it came after their first gen CVT...

2015 corolla idling for 2 hrs

You'll be fine. It's not like you do it every day. The only thing is that at idle, the alternator can't recharge the battery much, especially if you were using electric accessories meanwhile (heating, AC, lights, radio...) I would suggest avoiding multiple short trips until you have a chance to...
