    Next gen Corolla BMW Engine?

I think you mean "made in the US in Mississippi AND in a new plant with Mazda". The Mississippi plant was never ever set to lose Corolla production. The canadian Corolla was the one going to Mexico, now going to the new Toyota-Mazda partnership. Both the current canadian and new mexican plant...

    Next gen Corolla BMW Engine?

Who knows indeed... I don't think it's just about CAFE. About 70% of Corollas are sold elsewhere than in US. It's about gas prices, gas availability and, above all, personal budget for it. Turbo's get rave reviews and EPA numbers but it's often different in real life, while CVT's seem less and...

    Next gen Corolla BMW Engine?

It's a rumor but Toyota already uses BMW engines (and vice versa) in Europe, which might be the source of the rumor in the first place. If true, it probably won't be a wall to wall affaire, just a special sporty version, for marketing image and excite the auto reviewers. Only the canadian...

    Question on 2016 Corolla LE

Actually no. The new Camry drops the 6AT for an 8AT. Still an eCVT for hybrid.

    Question on 2016 Corolla LE

I also doubt it. Beside some - and there are less and less even among "reviewer" - not getting use to the different variation in drivetrain sound, CVTs have a weight, efficiency and especially cost advantage for manufacturers. Unless they want to push traditional Corolla buyer toward Yaris...

2014 Toyota Corolla LE air conditioning, behaviors or problems?

TSB is simply technical instructions for more frequent repairs. It could be a sign, but you'll even find them about how to do an oil change on a new configuration ! A warranty/recall would be "the ac compressor needs to be updated". A TSB is "IF the ac compressor needs to be updated", whether...

    Considering purchasing extended warranty

Those are insurance policy rather than "warranties", really. They bet on fear of repairs cost to have someone pay a premium, hoping they'll end up as the winner. Personally, I rather "insure" myself by putting an amount aside each month while under warranty, having a reserve in case of repairs...

2017 Bran New Corolla Front wheel alignment problem noticed at first service

That's because if there is a problem, it is covered. Some dealers will try to push extra-services like alignment when not needed, therefore no warranty apply. It's their game, you don't have to say yes !

Replacing 2016 LE Bumper with S Bumper

Not only that. The cut out for the Toyota logo has a different shape.

    2014 Corolla Transmission Failure

Valvematic engine is only in LE Eco and iM (S is VVTi). I never experienced the problem (car going into limp mode) as it only occurred under specific conditions. Anyway, they simply updated the firmware to fix the bug. I don't know the part number of the CVT but the model is K313 CVTi-S.

    Recommendations for performance upgrades?

2ZRFAE 1.8l engine (Valvematic) : LE Eco (140 HP) and iM (137 HP) 2ZR-FE 1.8l engine (Dual VVTi) : all others (132 HP)

    2014 Corolla Transmission Failure

Do they work by trial and error ? I would sure ask a detailed written report about the condition of the transmission then check with other dealers/mechanics and Toyota. 10K is way over the top... You can find salvaged K313 for around 1K on eBay ! Also, what is your version ? Your trouble sounds...

    2014 Corolla S CVT Problems

Agree, but there are multiple clues like the professionals and forums you mention, Consumer Reports and True Delta. Granted they aren't perfect as they rely only on people reporting repairs but you could see surges in transmission repairs when Nissan and some others introduces a new CVT. Then...

    2014 Corolla S CVT Problems

Well, you never know about some odd unit. No mechanical device, especially sold by the millions, is immune about that, Toyota or not ! People who are afraid of CVTs rely on such anecdotal cases, or generalize a conclusion from some manufacturers mistakes (see post 61). Other assume that a...

    2014 Corolla S CVT Problems

I wouldn't expect problems from a transmission that's been on the market worldwide for more than 6 years without any particular problems.

2014 Corolla radion won't play all the songs from flash drive

Basic : -The system can work with a max of 3,000 folders and no more than 255 files per folder (with a max total of 9,999) in MP3-WMA-AAC format. -The size of the flash drive doesn't matter but avoiding other types of files than songs (and art album) is recommended. -It always make a new...

    2014 Corolla S CVT Problems

It's been said many times : a lot of the bad reputation of the CVT comes from bad first execution from different manufacturers. Once those problems were solved, those specific units remain at risk as CVTs are simple yet precise devives (hence extended warranties) : Nissan (Jatco) - Bad...

    2014 Corolla S CVT Problems

Not the same CVT. Axio is K110 (from 2000) - S is K313 (from 2012). As Klebinek mention, there are no report of issues or recall for those. Doesn't mean that there are no odd unit out there but that's what it would be : an odd unit.

    Oil Change - how often?

More of a way to make even more money from the "warranty" (insurance, really...) buyer ! In Canada, though, maybe because of winter, the recommended interval in the manual is 5K.
