OEM Daytime Running Lights - Worth The Price?

Did you try e-mailing them? The output of the DRLs is probably equivalent to my reverse lights, so you'd still need headlights at night. As for the relay, most likely a generic 10A 4-prong relay that you could get for a few bucks at O'Reillys. Gonna try to build the kit yourself? (I bet it...

    Eco-Mode On A Corolla

If you know enough about computers, you could build a circuit that would attach to your headlight circuit and dome light circuit, but even then, this would involve programming (a simple timer wouldn't work since the timer couldn't tell the difference between the engine running or not). There...

CV Shaft Drivers side and Passenger Side

If it is difficult to pull out, use a slide hammer. If you don't have a slide hammer, you can take the other shaft out, then use a wooden dowel to smack the stubborn one out through the side you were able to remove.

2014 Corolla S - Annoying Noise Coming from the Drivers Side

I think just one in America (Mississippi, VIN starts with 5), but I am not sure if Mississippi is the sole manufacturer of all U.S. bound Corollas. On an unrelated note, I heard Scion manufacturing is leaving California and heading to Texas.

OEM Daytime Running Lights - Worth The Price?

Yeah, they put it in the dashboard (and oddly enough on the far right one which shouldn't be occupied, since that is how you remove that particular trim panel). They aren't my style, but they look neat, I'll admit ... price is a little stiff though...

OEM Daytime Running Lights - Worth The Price?

Don't see why they are factory when we already have DRL. Definitely not OEM. You have a CVT right? Aren't all of your console switches occupied by Sport Mode and TCS? There is a free spot on the dashboard you could put it on, or you could forget the switch all together and have them on when...

2014 Corolla S - Annoying Noise Coming from the Drivers Side

I'd be willing to bet it is coming from a specific plant since only some models do it. Probably missing a procedure.

CV Shaft Drivers side and Passenger Side

Not really a certain way to do it, like tricks or anything. Pull old one out, install new one. I recommend changing the wheel nut as a matter of course, and never re-use cotter pins (for what they cost, I don't gamble with them).

This is the stock bulb: This is the Nokya LED bulb: I mounted the box for the driver side here: And the box for the passenger side here (verify that the wire from the box to the fog light bulb has enough slack): And that is it! Good luck and enjoy. I will get some pictures up tonight...

    Nokya LED NOK9618 Full Install

This is the LED bulb properly installed into the housing: Next, you'll grab one of the boxes (it helps to remove the insulation for this next step, don't remove it all the way like I did or it'll suck getting it back on, just remove it about 2/3 of the way): You'll install the clips into the...

    Nokya LED NOK9618 Full Install

This is what you should see once you remove the moulding: Once you get to the fog light housing, you need to unclip the bulb BEFORE you remove it (you won't get it out until you do): Turn counter-clockwise like with any other bulb, then pull straight out This is what both bulbs look like...

So tools you will need include some double-sided tape, a Phillips screwdriver (or a 10mm socket and ratchet, preferably in 1/4" drive so you don't over-torque any of the body bolts) and nails (or a flathead screwdriver if you just cut yours). This is the box that you'll get And this is the...

    Asking for Help

There have been several people on this forum that ask for help. As an experienced mechanic and a car enthusiast, I enjoy helping people out, and have no problem taking time out of my day to help people out on their cars, just as other people have helped me out in the event that I get stuck (it...

LED Fog Lights - I Might Give Them a Try

Those blue lights will make things worse in the fog. They need to be yellow (2500 K maximum) to cut through the fog, for everything else reflects back to the driver. The 10,000K HID is cool if you don't live in a fog prone area, but they would do me no good.

    Vacuum Pump for Brake Booster

Nailed it! Figured it would be on the LE Eco. Probably has to do with giving the engine the fuel efficiency it makes by keeping a consistent vacuum, better regulation of fuel. Thanks VTAK.
