The recall shouldn't affect your remote starter at all, and the remote starter will not prevent the dealership from doing the recall replacement of the starter.

You will get a letter if you are affected. I had to take in my 2008 Matrix for a PCM recall. It happens to all cars. At least it gets repaired for free. Plus, Dealers need time to get replacement parts, so taking it in before you get the letter does no good.
