VIDEO - Tire Pressure Monitoring System, TPMS - What is it and How Does it Work?

If you have a blowout, you'd find out before the TPMS threw a light. Also, that is the incorrect relearn procedure. You turn the ignition switch to on (engine not running), and hold the reset switch until the TPMS light blinks three times. You have to wait a minute for the sensor data to get...

Are Plasma Tail Lights and Reverse Lights Legal?

HID reverse lights will way overload the wiring. The wiring is designed for 20W bulbs, not 55W.

Free Service for 2 Yrs or 25K miles ...?

There was no charge for the free 2 year/25,000 service. That's why it was free :-D. Also, $150 for 5 oil changes? No way. When I was doing my own oil changes using full synthetic you were looking at $60 each change, plus they top off all fluids, inspection, tire rotation, etc.

2013 Cranks Well But No Start- 2009-2013 Forum

The key would disable the fuel pump if the codes didn't match, at least on the Ford PATS system anyway, not sure how Toyota handles it. When the computer loses power, it re-learns all of the trim settings again because those settings need power to stay saved, since it changes with driver habits.

    Revs 'Jumping'

In my '82 Mustang GT I could do a clutch in under 3 hours. Was cakewalk, but that car had a seperate bellhousing. Most new cars have the bellhousing integrated into the transmission which makes it a pain.

    Revs 'Jumping'

Did fine in my Mustang GT with 225,000 miles. Yeah, clutches on a FWD are brutal. Did the one on my Focus and by the time the transmission was out, I was about 12 connectors, a couple hoses, a fuel line, and a motor mount away from having the engine out of the car. You need to remove the...

Very Low Idle on Warm Start

Keep us posted. And yeah, those 100,000 miles plugs never last that long. Changed mine in the Matrix at 60,000 and the electrodes were almost gone. Granted... I drive aggressively.

Anyone with an Entune Radio here in South Florida?

I believe you can go from an Entune to an Entune Premium, since the only difference really, is the apps and Gracenote, but there is no software update that could turn the standard into Premium because you lack the Apps button.

Which Car Did You Come From?

I have the S Plus 6MT. Only options I am missing from the S premium are the heated and power seats, which I'd rather have the stickshift over the automatic, and power seats are annoying because reclining is slow. Dunno why they ever thought power recline would be a good idea...

    Accessing Left Hand Button Holes?

Can't remember the procedure by heart. You can go to the TIS website and pay $15 for two-day access and see the procedure for the CVT. I know you need to remove the shifter trim, and there are two screws inside the center console under the carpet, and two more screws behind the air selector...

Very Low Idle on Warm Start

An intermittent random misfire doesn't always trigger a CEL, and weak spark can cause rough idles. You meed a good scanner or Torque software to check the misfire count. I'm not sure what the threshold is to trigger the CEL. Replacing the plugs improved my idle and got me an extra 2 mpg. Look...

2 years or 25,000 miles whichever occurs first, so you're on your own now.

    Revs 'Jumping'

It's the clutch being worn. Worn clutch doesn't affect gear changes. A bad throw-out bearing will affect gear changes. Eventually you will notice slipping when you launch from a stop and then the engine will spin and nothing will happen. A tune-up isn't a bad idea, and neither is using...

    Towing/Hitch for 1993 Corolla

I'd call U-Haul. They do hitch installs and will do it professionally. Hitch installation is something you don't want to go cheap on or severe damage to the unibody can occur.
