Not sure that exist in after market. I know of the Mobileye CS270 for forward collision warning, an around $800 gadget, a portable version of the Volvo system. And even then, results may vary...

You are talking about a China specific and locally built "8 speed" CVT. Nothing to do with the unit in NA or rest of the world.

As Donabed Kopoian said, you won't get many answers here. The CVT you are talking about is an "8 speed" China specific, build in a new facility on location. Maybe new plant glitches. Is it a totally different CVT or the same unit with a different firmware? The 1.8 Valvematic "check engine light"...

Mine is a LE Eco. No problem in snow if you remember it's a light car. TC/VSC aren't too invasive if you don't drive carelessly. The 15" wheels help, and a set of good snow tires. It's a little sensible to crosswinds. Aerodynamically, the rear windshield sometimes accumulate snow. Otherwise...

If that is really a question, the answer is a definitive "yes". You want to kill MPG, drive like people, feeling the "need for speed" or whatever, like if pedals were only on/off switches. Floor it at the green light than slam the brakes at the next red light.

Indeed. It's amazing how many people even feel unsecured not seeing the side of their cars while it kills visibility. It varies with models though. I once had a Saturn for which it was virtually impossible to reach the sweet spot. But with this Corolla, no blind spot at all. Even the closer cars...

You won't see much better at 85 mph... EPA tests are at 55 and you can expect 1% mpg loss for each 1 mph over with any car. Mine (LE Eco) gets 50+ mpg on the highway, but the highway speed limits here are at 60 MPH.

I guess it depends what you come from (or driving style). I find the CVT silky smooth and the car in general fairly quiet (I'm perfectly fine not earing the engine). If I had a complaint, it would be road noise.

Yes !!! C/D reported equal or better performance than WRX turbo (along with lower cost / better MPG). Of course, road manners are a different story, but that shows that Turbos aren't everything. The closer you'll get to manual, though, is paddle shifters on XSE version...
