Key in "on" position for a few a seconds before driving?

Growing up, my first employer always told me to first turn the key to the "on" position for a few seconds before starting. He said this activates the fuel pump. When I had my '98 Metro, I would put it in the "on" position and I would actually hear the fuel pump activated. I would then start...

How Do You Like Your Dealer?

We have two in Grand Rapids, MI. One is Kool Toyota and the other is Toyota of Grand Rapids. The Yelp reviews for the TofGR dealer are deplorable. I've only been there once to pick up a PCV valve. You have to walk past the sales staff. I noticed a common theme with Toyota dealers is many...

    New Corolla Owner Georgia

Speaking of religious alignments and balances, what are your service intervals for each? I typically align once annually, in April. I balance every 6,000 miles.

    New Guy With 233,000 Miles

I prefer all stock. If I am going to accessorize (e.g. my spoiler), I only use Toyota genuine accessories. Rather than "customize", I'll spend my extra money on home improvements, not on a car that depreciates.

Tire Source For Your Corolla - Good Prices

I've already had/have an issue with a pulling to the right, then to the left after I swapped the fronts. Shop told me alignment is "spot on" and it has to be a tire. I moved the suspected problem tire from RF to RR and pulling ceased. I took it to Goodyear, explained I narrowed down the bad...

2002 Corolla Hesitation Under Load and P0441

I, too, own a 2002 with a 5-speed. Do you have any photos to share? I have 233,000 miles on mine, also mint. I also have that emissions code and have just given up spending more than $50 on the Vacuum switching valve I replaced at the canister, hoping that would take away three codes that...

    New Guy With a '04 Corolla S

The real "S" model has a three-spoke wheel. What is that square thing on the driver's door? What happened to the stock hubcaps?

'02 Corolla I don't opt for aftermarket parts. They don't provide the OEM performance in my experience.
